What makes this activity interesting is that the person who takes it to a home leaves it there, and whoever puts in any advice takes it to the next home. But this should begin ahead of time so that the basket reaches the home of at least every relation.

Moving the basket from home to home can still be done a day or two prior to the wedding. But the advice gathering will be successful only if the homes are not far off and if the prospective advisers are aware of the advent of the basket.
